Chad leading a group in Costa Rica and Panamá.  2015.

Chad Groff first came to Costa Rica in 2005 and after spending a few years here doing volunteer work he went to back to the US to work and make some money to be able to travel and do some adventure riding. In 2010 he rode round-trip from Pennsylvania through Central America to the Panama Canal.

Then in 2012 he rode to Alaska and back. Both trips were done on his 2007 Suzuki V-Strom 650. Returning to Costa Rica in 2012 to do more volunteer work he decided to make the move permanent and married a beautiful Costa Rican girl in 2014; the same year that the dream of SilverSteed Adventures was put into action.

As a fellow adventure rider I personally want to invite you to come and ride with Silversteed Motorcycle Adventures as we explore some of the best that Central America has to offer. From the majestic volcanoes, pristine beaches, and incredible biodiversity of Costa Rica to Panama City and modern marvel of the Panama Canal.

Andrés Mora was born and raised in Costa Rica, he has worked as a professional photographer and filmmaker since 2009.  In 2006, he met Chad and became friends with him.  In 2012, Andrés and Chad started discussing the possibility to offer visitors a different way to know his beautiful country.  A few months later, Silversteed Motorcycle Adventures was born.  He's ridden next to his friend for a while now and one of his dreams is to reach the southest part of the continent with his business partner in the near future.

Costa Rica has unique things to offer to visitors; our people, our scenery, our food. I am absolutely sure that no matter what you find here, you’d be both amazed and thrilled. Do not miss the chance to come experience our “pura vida” life-style. We are waiting for you!
